Sound of Silence

一般言語学講義を書いたソシュールは、
”言葉は、概念が無いならば生まれない。”と説いた。
すなわち、雪が無い国には雪を表す言葉がないように、
無いものを表す言葉は存在しない。

しかし、日本人は無いものを表した。

”シーーーーーーーーーーーーーーン”

夏目漱石が初めに使用したと言われている、静けさを表す言葉。
他の言語にもあるのかな？

Ferdinand de Saussure who wrote Course in General Linguistics said "Unless there is a concept, there is no word for it".　In other words, If there is no snow in a country, there is no word for snow in the country.

BUT, a Japanese invented a word to describe a sound of silence.

"Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin"

This is the word describing silence made by Soseki Natsume.
I'm wondering whether other language have a smilar expression.
