ゆっくり過ごしたいな～。
今住んでいる国はエネルギッシュだが、休息するところが全くない。
静けさや安らぎは、お金で買わなければいけない。

昼下がりに誰にも干渉されずに、人間ウォッチングをする。
この国でその状況は、贅沢な時間の過ごし方となる。

安全やサービスをお金で買う必要が無い日本は、
断然幸せではあるが、同時にヘビークレーマーを生む甘やかし国家になる。

お金の価値は相対性で決まる。
昔の日本のようにみんながに貧乏であれば、カラーテレビがあるだけで豊かであり、
バブル時のようにみんなが豊かであれば、金箔寿司も当たり前となる。

定住する場所を決める際は、何を考えるのであろうか。
価値観の自然的な共有による居心地の良さは、一つの指標となる。

僕が断言できるのは、住めば都には例外がある。

「ここは都じゃない。」

I wish I chill out soon. This contry is very energetic but there is no place to chill out. You need to buy silence and relaxation. You watch people passing by in the afternoon without getting bothered or disturbed. It's one of the luxurious ways to spend time in the afternoon in this country.
You don't have to buy safety and service in Japan and it's absolutely happy and fulfilling, but it creates the people who are always complaining and spoils it's own people at the same time.
Value of money is relative. Color TV was used to be a symble of wealthy is Japan 60 years ago. However Sushi wrapped with gold paper was common 20 years ago before the bubble economy burst.
How would you decide where you would live for good? If you could share the sense of value naturally with people in a country. You would feel comfortable and it might be one of the indicator to settle down.

I can swear that I wouldn't live here for good. There is a Japanese saying "Anywhere can be home once you get used to it." but I now know there are exceptions.

映画の面白さを教えてくれた映画の１つが、”パルプフィクション”

ハニーバニーとパンプキンのシーンから始まる。

当時は変わった名前だと思ったけど、英語はニックネーム・ペットネームをよく使う。

いわゆる、ベイビーとかハニーとかのたぐいである。

初めて、ペットネームで呼ばれたのは、

アメリカに住んで4ヶ月くらいたちであった、イタリア系のS。

ベジタリアンの彼女が、おいしいベジタリアン料理を作ってくれるとのことで、家に呼ばれた。

食後は、岩井俊二のスワロウテイルが見たいとのことで、持参したDVDを見ていたが、

日本語のシーンはわからないようなので、彼女からいちゃいちゃし始めた。

僕にとって、初めてのアメリカ人女性である。

NYの夏は暑い。熱帯夜になる。

汗ばんだ彼女の脇からは、獣の匂いがした。

僕にとって、初めての白人の体臭である。

その時に彼女が、「ねえ、ダーリン。ウォッカトニック取って。」と言った。

僕にとっての初めてのペットネームだった。

One of the movies told me how to enjoy movies is "Pulp Fiction". It starts from the scene with Honey Bunny and Pumpkin. I thought what a strange name back then, but it was a pet name such as baby or honey.

It was 4 months after I moved to the states when I was called with a pet name by S. She was vegetarian and she offered me to come over for her home made vegetarian food. I went to her place and we watched my DVD, "Swallowtail Butterfly" by Shunji Iwai which she had wanted to watch. She didn't understand Japanese and she got bored. She started flirting  and making out with me. It was the first American girl for me. It's very hot in NY and even at night. Her body smelled like an animal. It was the first BO for me. Then she said "Darlin, can you pass me my vodka and tonic?". It was the first pet name for me.

ランボー、ダイハード、スピードのようなアクション映画から、

映画と音楽の調和やストーリ性を重視したターニングポイントは、いつだろうと考えた。

間違いなく1994年である。

”パルプフィクション”で痺れるような展開と音楽に魅了され、

”恋する惑星”で、アメリカのソフトロックと切ない恋愛を理解できるようになった、あの年からだ。

”恋する惑星”を見てから、いつかは香港の重慶マンションを見てみようと思い、

夢がかなったのは、それから16年後の2010年だった。

When would I rather to watch movies with better stories and music than action movies like Rambo, Die Hard and Speed? It's definitely 1994. In 1994, Pulp Fiction which has unpredictable stories with thrilling music and Chungking Express which has bitter and sweet romance with American Soft Rock music came out. I wanted to visit Chungking Mansions in Hongkong since I saw the movie, and the dream came true 16 years later.

このコール・ポーターはアメリカを代表する偉大な作曲家で数々のJazzの名曲を生み出した。

その彼の人生を描いた映画、「五線譜のラブレター」。

一年に一度アメリカから友人のDがタイに来る。

時期を合わせて、彼に会いに行く。

恒例行事が今年もあった。

今回前回よりも時間が取れたので、

一緒にバンコクのクラブを堪能した。

昼間は各々別行動となり、

夜スクンビットのあるクラブで待ち合わせとなった。

Dが来るまで時間がかかるとのことなので、

野郎3人で飲むのも寂しいのでナンパすることにした。

目の前には身長170cm位、

A friend, D goes to Thailand from the US once a year. I also go there to see him yearly. It our routine event. I had more time than the last year one. We enjoy clubbing in Bangkok.

Every guy had their own plan at day time and we decided to meet up at a club at night. D needed some time to get together. 3 guys started picking girls up so that we wouldn't be able to be seen desparately.

I found a tall tanned girl in a short denim and a jacket in her heels.

my wingman said she looked like Tony Jaa. (Thai action actor)Lately I've been turned on by only girls with tanned skin and good figure. It's my theory that the girls with the wide wings of the nose are good in bed. (I don't know if my expression of girls' face feature is right.)

We started drinking together. It passed one hour and D showed up with a Thai girl. He already had a good time with her.

We drank till 4am and moved to our hotel and kept drinking at 5am. Ms. Tony Jaa was wasted and slept over at my room. Thanks for the passionate night!

D is really tolerant of alcohol... If I hadn't some supplement for my liver, I would have been hungover during the whole trip...
