Angeles

天使の町。
そう呼ばれるエンジェルシティ。（現地読み：アンヘレス）

大爆発したピナトゥボ火山の麓に位置し、アメリカのクラーク空軍基地があった町。
第二次世界大戦中は、日本軍が神風特攻の前線基地として使った町。

ところが道中、マニラの大渋滞に巻き込まれて、到着は夜７時。。。
火山と飛行場の観光は翌朝。。。

そんな初フィリピンであったが、
食事・音楽などの文化・ローカルの人柄を含め、
また旅行したい国の一つとなった。
次回はマニラで買い物、島でゆっくりしてみたい。

Angel City.
Its local name is Angeles City.

It is located at the skirt of Mt. Pinatubo erupting before and had American Clerk base. Kamikaze attackers took off from the base at WW2. This interesting city is known as well as Sin city.

My first philippines trip lived up to my expectation in terms of nice locals and the culture such as food, music and so on.
I hope to visit there again. I want to do "shopping" in Manila and chill out on an island next time.
