ラテンにハマったのはボサノバだった。
アストラッド・ジルベルトのイパネマの娘を聞きながら、
ブラジルの写真を見た時に一瞬にして恋に落ちた時、僕は15歳だった。
それまでは激しい音を中心に聞いていたが、心地良い音に胸が躍った。
そして、何よりもラテン女性は美しさに心を奪われた。



その後、サンバ・ラテンジャズ・サルサ・メレンゲ・バチャータ・レゲトン・ラテンハウス・ラテンポップと
触手を伸ばし、暑くなると必ず聞きたくなる定番の音楽となった。

NYCはラテン文化にたくさん触れることができて天国であった。
アイリッシュとドミニカ共和国のミックスの親友の"C"とは毎週遊んだ。

彼はラテンについて色々と教えてくれた。
僕がNYCを離れるときに、彼は泣いてくれた。
異国の地・アメリカでも親友ができて良かった。

いつか一緒にドミニカ共和国に行こうな！！

Bossa Nova got me into Latin. At my 15, I fell in love with Latin looking at pictures of Brazil and litening to "The girl from Ipanema" by Astrad Gilberto. I had listenned to noisy music, but the comfy, calm and energetic melody made my heart beat. Above all, the beauty of latin women stole my heart.

I started to listen to Samba, Latin Jazz, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Latin House, Latin Pop and so on. I always listen to them in Summer.

NYC is heaven for me to be able to feel and touch Latin culture. I always hung out with "C" who is mixed Irish and Dominican.

He talked about Latin to me all the time. The day I left NY, he cried for me. I'm really glad that I made a best friend in a different country like the US.

Let's go to Dominican Republic together one day!!
